Beautiful vivid red, with crimson shades.
Intense nose, with dominating mediterranean notes (laurel, eucalyptus, olive “tapenade”), discrete vanilla
Well structured on the palate, concentrated, with soft tannins and elegant woody notes. Red fruit and pepper on the finish. A good typicity, pleasant wine.
Technical featuresGrenache.
Traditional wine-making. A very special attention is paid to the health state of the crop, harvested in full over-ripeness. Complete de-stalking of the grapes before macerating in vats during 3 weeks, under heat monitoring, with a regular punching of the cap. Fermentation under the effect of selected yeasts. Once the fermenting process achieved, free-run and press wine are kept separately, and partly or totally blended, according to the vintage aromatic and gustatory expression.
Long ageing of 18 months in “merrain” oak barrels, already with patina to preserve the finesse of the wine. Egg-white fining.
Alcohol content : 13,5 %.
Serving advice
Always keep your bottles laying, in a dark and fresh place (between 10 to 15°C). Let your wine stand a few days, after buying it. Don’t forget to open the bottle 2 to 3 hours before tasting.
Perfectly goes with meat in a sauce, forest game, goat cheese. Best served cool, between 17 and 18°C.
