Nice bright red colour.
Intense on the nose, with pronounced notes of black fruit notes (blackberries).
On the palate, fresh and well balanced, this wine shows a beautiful concentration “wrapped” into roundness, with a silky finish.
Technical featuresBlend of Syrah (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) Harvested when fully ripe, the Syrah varieties are vinified in two separate wines under temperature monitoring; a “classic” one under a long maceration, and another one under carbonic maceration. Besides the Cabernet Sauvignon, from old vines, is vinified looking for the fruit and a tannic support without any excess. The blend is achieved after racking and selecting the juice out of the press. The ageing, as usual at Bachellery, goes on into huge oak casks. Egg-white fining. Alc. content : 12.5 %
Serving adviceAlways keep your bottles laying down, into a dark and fresh place (10° to 15°) This wine can be kept for 4 years after the vintage. Best served at 16° / 17°, perfect with everyday home cooking, roasted duck fillet, creamy and blue cheese .
