The climate
The Béziers area is one of the driest in the Languedoc Roussillon. The area spreads along the foothills of the Massif Central and is therefore exposed to different types of winds : The Mistral coming from the North along the Rhône Valley to the east, and Tramontane coming down form the North West. These are very dry and sometimes quite violent winds.
